Trader Joe's strikes again. This time with their Roasted Garlic and Pesto Pizza with Deep Fried Crust. It's like if an Italian pizzeria pizza and a deep-fried fairgrounds pizza had a baby. When this pizza first hit the Trader Joe's frozen section, the store could barely keep them in stock. We got our hands on one to give you the unfiltered truth about the latest Trader Joe's frozen pizza. The results may surprise you.

Are you craving a deep dish pizza that reminds you of your favorite Chicago pizza joint Red Baron has you covered with its frozen Deep Dish Singles. For our taste test, we kept it simple and tried the cheese pizza flavor. This pie offers loaded mozzarella over a delicious sweet sauce contained in a thick, crispy deep-dish crust.

Did you ever wonder about the "pie" in pizza pie This dish will make that connection clear for you. With its 1 1/2" tall crust cradling distinct layers of cheese, sausage, and tomatoes, this is definitely a knife-and-fork pizza PIE. We like to bake this in a big, 14" deep-dish pizza pan; it makes a spectacular presentation, right out of the oven. But if you don't have a big pan, feel free to use two 9" round cake pans.

While the dough is rising, ready your 14" deep-dish pizza pan. Grease it with non-stick vegetable oil spray, then pour in 3 to 4 tablespoons olive oil, tilting it to cover the bottom of the pan, and partway up the sides.

Pretty good pizza. This is part of a small local chain around Iowa And Wisconsin. I think there are about a dozen of these around. Deep dish is their specialty--takes awhile to bake which gives you a chance to enjoy a couple of drinks from the bar.

We were heading home to Peoria, IL from an Iowa Hawkeyes game and wanted Chicago-style deep dish pizza. I went on Yelp, and this place was rated highly. It truly loved up to its rating. We got a mushroom & sausage. It was delicious. Sauce was almost sweet, sausage delicious. We go to the Quad Cities often and this place is our new go-to.

I'm from the Chicago area and am not a big fan of QC-style pizza. Antonella's is, so far, the best pizza we've found. Though I have not been brave enough to try their Chicago style deep dish, I really enjoy their thin crust. We've also had a couple of pasta dishes, and the red sauce is very good. It is red, sweet, and tastes homemade. It has a family-style atmosphere, and felt right at home with our two daughters.

We ordered a deep dish double sausage and garlic pizza and an Italian beef, dipped, with fries. The food was really good. The sausage and pizza sauce we definitely real Chicago deep dish style. I'm a pizza guru, and this is truly a good pie.

Full disclosure- I've only tried the stuffed pizza here, but it's very good- especially since I'm a Chicagoan and lived 2 blocks from a Giordano's! If you want Chicago style deep dish, their stuffed pizza is pretty spot-on. It's not as good as Lou Malnati's, but it is better than Gino's East. Great cheese, chunky bits of sausage, and the green pepper was really great. We'll be back!

I have now been here twice and have ordered both the deep dish and the regular (quad cities style) pizzas which were both superb. The sauce is a little bit sweeter than elsewhere though the toppings are great in flavor and quantity and the cheese is in great quantity. The crust is also excellent, easy to cut through, while with texture that tastes better than most. The format is similar to Stashu's where one orders first then sits down, though I cannot comment on the bar section in the other room.

As a local Quad city business owner we are always looking for fresh ideas for lunch time. It seems we order food everyday. Although we are located downtown we decided to try out Lunardi"s deep dish pizza. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I was yummy yummin the whole time . CHECK this out!
